heads need reconditioning...

i need my heads reconditioned becasue the valves have scored the pistons slightly. it is my understanding that valves will bend slightly before they ever leave a mark on the piston so that would lead me to belive that they need to be replaced. how much should this cost me? i need to know so i can tell if i am getting ripped off.

or should i just get new heads or a new engine? i have an 87 we4. it would take me a month to save for a new engine, which i have read is around 1300 bucks on here.

I have a pair of heads that you can have for $75. They are stock off an 87GN. They have never been rebuilt.

If your looking for a engine machiene shop? I have been using Central Florida Machine & Speed. 407-877-2800 They can do whatever you need.

If your looking for a Turbo Buick specialist. Talk to Kevin at KDK. 407-298-2706

I live just south of you in Waterford Lakes area. If you need the heads let me know (I'm cleaning out the garage). It may be cheeper to buy the heads than to have your cleaned up & valve job done especialy if they need valves? Valves are typicaly around $10 each.

P.S. I am an ASE Certified Technician. If you would like me to stop by & look at the engine & give you my opinion on what you should do. I don't have a problem doing so.

please, by all means come and have a look at it. a buick enthusiast's opinon in it's current state would be fantastic.
