Lets just say a "friend" did this... He is working on it... It is no accident or mistake. It was done on purpose...

If it was malicious, that's just evil from what appears to be another buick guy. I have dealt with companies that have had their domain names taken by consultants. It is fairly easy to get it back but, the legal fallout against the person that takes it is not pretty. I hope that is not the case here.

Why don't we all go to this horse$hit site & email them, telling them what a bunch of "nice" people they are. Also, kindly explain to them how nobody from this forum will buy a single F-ing nut or bolt from their crooked ass's.

The place where it is directed has nothing to do with it, I am pretty sure...

Well, we shall see how this pans out. I would like to know what/how this happened so I can protect my business from the same fate.

I wish you well Brian!!

I was thinking that someone bought someone out or something? How can someone just take someone's domain name like that? Keep us other business owners in the loop on what to do. If somone changed the code on his website then can't it just be changed back? Hopefully it wasn't an employee!

Computer geek faggots, that have nothing better to do, than to plant viruses and scramble computer programs. All the while sitting in mom & dad's basement guzzling their energy drink of choice & beating off to porn because he can't even get laid in a blind womens prison.

That's who takes domain names & links them to bogus sites.

They do it all right & when offered $$$ to wreck a Friend's Business they jump on it.
just an assumption that someone has a beef with him & went Stupid about it?

I hope that is not what happened!!! Life as this guy knows it would end. READ THE DMCA and see what happens when you screw with anything related to computer systems. You will serve a longer prison term for breaking a computer than you would for murder. The smart IT people would never do something like this. Not that they couldn't, they just know the legal ramifications of those actions.

How does the DMCA relate to anything domain related? This has nothing to do with content theft or copyright infringement.

It covers pretty much any unwanted cpu (processor) usage on any machine. Pretty broad but, yes. I am not sure what was going on here exactly but, if it was unwanted this guy had better watch out. Brian could easily prove that a domain name change cause a financial impact to him. The current domain owner works for an IT company down in Tampa. It sure would suck if he used any of his company resources (computers or went through their firewall) as those devices could be confiscated upon a complaint filed against him. Not to mention the loss of his employment and future employment.

I just got off the phone with Brian and he asked me to post that because there is lawyers involved in this matter, he can't post here at all. His business is still open and if anyone needs anything please give G-BodyParts a call at (252) 825-3293 and Brian would be more than happy to take your order by phone.

Thanks for the understanding while this matter is being taken care of.

Ouch! I hope everything works out for him. I am curious as to what has happened...that will have to wait though.

Is it safe to say it was someone else in the Buick community? From what I have seen it is.

Yea.. none of that really applies here. Its a lot simpler situation. If lawyers are involved, Id imagine this wont be settled for a while.

This may be a better answer then. I had to help a client use this method when a previous consultant had their business domain name registered in his name and refused to release it when they dropped him as a consultant. They had to make a few calls and fax some docs with the company letterhead and official state forms stating that they did in fact operate under that name. They also had to prove that they had previously used that domain name.

Brian isn't posting which is understandable. Perhaps someone can relay the info.

Is this website being attacked too? When I went to go to the tires and wheels sticky I was prompted with:
