Anyone know what makes the rear of the Chevy C1500 work truck (1988-99) sit higher than the C1500 Silverado(1988-99), springs or shackles, etc.? Just want to make a C1500 work truck stance same as stock C1500 silverado with factory parts.

Probably some stiffer/longer springs... i guess since its a work truck GM expected heavier loads. Does it have some sort of towing package?

No towing package, it's just a base 4.3 liter V6 air/auto. My thoughts too on why it sits high for heavier loads, the heaviest I carry are engines/transmissions, some plywood sheets, misc. junk., and it is still somewhat high, though most of time it is empty and it seems that if the Silverados sit fairly level and are good enough for most hauling duties, using the same parts on work truck would do the same here.

the overload spring.. remove it from the spring pack and it will level the truck
