D dan lephart Member Joined Nov 10, 2002 Sep 21, 2007 #7 coate Eastwood makes a clear hi temp that they say will not discolor... Used it on my valve covers three years ago and they still look new! No more cleaning to keep them looking good.

U UNGN Can't Re- Member Joined May 24, 2001 Sep 21, 2007 #9 I welded a plenum in one and had to paint it to hide the heat discoloration. Any high temp aluminum spray should work fine. The color you need is "aluminum" or "cast Aluminum"
