2004r to 400 experience and thought?

Yes was it worth it and would you go back. Mostly street some high way..for my sons 85 hot air mostly stock car..
 
200 for a mostly stock.Under 750 HP. lower 1st gear higher high gear. A BOP 400 case. short tale is not a easy thing to find.
Lonnie at Extreme Automatics or Dave do really good work on 200
 
I concur. For a mainly stock car keep the 200 & get it rebuilt(if needed). That extra gear will be nice & takes a decent load off of the engine on the highway.
 
Got it thanks.i have the option for both got this 400 with everything it was already in a grandnational just needs gone through.

Keep the 2004R
The 400 WILL absorb more power than the 2004R.
The 400 is NOT needed on a Hot Air car, especially a stock one
 
there will be people all over that like a Duck on a bug making big power.You have all the trimmings to put a 400 in his GN. Nice but not needed in your car.
