Fresh 109 build for sale...ZERO miles on rotating assembly. All machine work, balancing & assembly completed by one of Savannah's oldest most reputable performance shops. $5500 plus shipping.   1. 109 Block has been completely machined...Externally balanced, line bored, decked & bored .020
  2. Brand new Eagle Crank..std & stock stroke. Clearances..2.5 main, 2.7 Rod
  3. Molnar rods w/ARP bolts. torque 30ft plus 60 degree
  4. Diamond Pistons /.010 in the hole. Skirts clearance 4.4 & Ring Gaps 28/28/15
  5. ARP Main Studs Main torque 110ft w/ moly lube
  6. Billet Caps

I'm going off of memory here and I'm not throwing stones in a glass house but aren't those Main and Rod clearances very large?

They are. Right around double what you really want. Either the crank is well under spec, the bearings are thinner than spec or the main bores are too big... or a combination of the three.
