Nice......

With Tonys car runnig so well and this thread. Making me want to pull my engine.

Many Thanks and Much Good Luck

Thanks Tony!
Your car sounds like it is running awesome also!!!
I have had really good luck so far!
I have heard and seen many bad stories though.
I have many friends that fight with their combinations all year long!!!
If they all went this smooth everyone would have one.
You have to remember this is a street car with air and a 200r4.
I ran TSM at Osceola just for fun.
I almost took out Scott Simpson!
I called myself the heavyweight TSM car at 3725 pounds.
Sam and Pat (QKRNYRS) have helped me out tremendously with the motor.
I have tried to return the favor.
Sam and I have had many late nights working on each others Buicks.
It usually takes more than one person and mind to get things done right.
I am also done for the season.
It will be an interesting year next year.
Maybe I can build a real TSM car for then???
Thanks again!
Jason

Nice times man!! I think if some of the people here knew what this car looks like, they would be even more impressed:)

How's the other car coming?

10.29 Pass

Thanks Kevin!!!
You know I almost sold this car at the Midwest Buick Challenge???
I am glad I changed my mind!
The other car is supposed to be a secret!!!
Who let the cat out of the bag???
Am I going to be on the North or South Team???
I hope you are starting on your new motor!
I can't wait until next year!!!
Thanks,
Jason

Haha, you can be with us north guys. We need all we can get, although Toni should be enough lol.

Sorry, didn't know it was a secret.

We will have my small motor back together by the end of winter. I was hoping to spend the money on other parts, but oh well I guess. The block only had about 1200 or so passes on it from the last ten years. I guess they don't last forever.

Next year will be great! I hope to make all the Midwest races again.

You can never have enough BULLETS!!!
If I can do as well as Toni I will be doing good!

Sorry, didn't know it was a secret.

You know how racing goes?
Everything is a secret!

Why are you messing with a small motor???
I would say you got your monies worth out of that motor!!!

Next year will be great! I hope to make all the Midwest races again.

I hope to see you there!!!

You told me in Osceola when I asked why you were selling your car:cool:

It's a money thing. I already have all the parts. There have been some fast small engines, Phil and Steve. It should be in the 9.5's next year, I hope:)

I hope to see you there!!!

See ya there!

Looks like your well on your way to the 9's. What are your cam specs? Looks like your giving up at least 4 mph with your converter up top. More turbo and a 9.5" PTC should net you 9.80's@136-137 fairly easily.

Way to Go!!

Congradulations to you Jason. Amazing how your best ET is backed up by respectsable alertness on the tree. I will say A .0599 reaction time off the foot brake is pretty darn good!!

That is one hellava short block Pat put together for ya. I am betting that he did not tell you the cam specs, or where he degreed it in at? I am still pulling secrets out of him. I wonder how many passes you have on that engine now, not to mention all the street pounding that you have done to it. Are you going to drive it down to Bowling Green again next year?

My brother in-law told me you backed that time up several times yesterday at the track. I also heard prior to the finals the track official told you this was going to be your last pass without a cage. Now what are you going to do?

Thanks Sam!
I couldn't have done it without you and Pat!
That was a pretty good light with the foot brake.
I had three good passes Sunday, 10.29, 10.36, & 10.54
I did red light on my third pass with a -0.031 light.

Pat sure does know his Buicks!!!
He has helped both of us out tremendously.
I have no idea what the cam specs are.
Maybe he can chime in on it.
I am not sure how many passes or on the motor???
I will have to get out all of my time slips and add them up.
It seems to get better with age!!!
Usually the wife drives the car to Bowling Green for me.
It's the only time she gets to drive it!

How did your brother do with his Citation (The Nuclear Banana)???
I know he dialed a 10.87 for the first round.
I did get a stiff warning on my last pass by the track official.
He said I could race the rest of the day but not to bring it back w/o cage!
I guess I will have to hide out for awhile and hope more GN's show up!
That way I will blend in with the other GN's at the track!
I will never put a cage in my "street car"!
Maybe my next GN will have one???

Bison,
I don't think I will push this car any faster!!!
It might have it in it but I have plenty of other wrenching to do.
I am a little weak with the axles and stock crank and stock rods!
Pat Hall (QKRNYRS) knows the cam specs. I am not sure of them.
It was his old short block and Sam Colalillo's heads!
I am starting work on another project!!!
It's supposed to be a secret, but I think the cats out of the bag!

I can't wait until next year!
Thanks,
Jason

Steve,
I don't think I would have given up the new garage either???
You needed room to work on your GN!
I did give you first dibs on my car when it was for sale!
I guess you will have to build your own!
I will have to try some other tracks out.
It is always nice when your car runs good.
I have this one flyin!
Thanks,

Under statement of the universe, I remember you told him you wanted a solid 11 second street car. My goal was mid 10's. What the hell has he done to us?

And that is what you both have!!

Thanks for the compliments guys. I am so impressed with both cars.

Jason, a few small changes and you'll have a 9 second car!

The cam if I remember correctly is a 215/210 .535 lift. hyd roller.

Great job Jason!

Nice to hear about a GN this quick that is driven to the track with working air that runs those times. (and a 2004R of course;) ) And, off the footbrake no less!!!! Keep up the great work!

I agree... A PTC converter would no doubt help the ET over your A/C.
