    Have you checked your ignition switch? It could have gone bad, it would prevent you from starting plus not allow the warning lights to come on :confused:

    I'm putting my stock downpipe back on, and I misplaced one of those springs that couples the turbo housing to the downpipe flange. Who on earth sells these things? All I need is one :rolleyes:

    I had the same problem as you. Come emmisions time I just put the old downpipe on my "special" converter setup. I had to make a short flange that would bolt to the cat-back and special cat, but if the TH converter works that would be much easier.

    Its very easy to change yourself, just messy draining the fluid. Be happy its just a $40 fix, I was scared my tranny was broken when mine went.

    Also check the lights themselves first. I know it sounds crazy but I have had both lamps burn out at the same time before.

    I had a similar experience, turned out to be pin C16 on the ECM was rotted and broke. So if all else fails check that.

    You could just remove the wirning harness connector that is located on the drivers side dash. It is a bi*** and a half to get to, but once you pull it you'll never have to worry about that whacky alarm again.

    Wow thanks, I guess I should replace the whole thing. I just wanted to temporarily fix the main culprit. I guess it is a packard style terminal? That crimp tool is $70, it would suck to buy it and only use it 3 or 4 times.

    Having just got my new ECM, my old one's pins had corroded from moisture, I noticed that the ECM connector terminals are corroded as well. Where can I get some new ones because they are seriously rusted? Also is there a special tool for removing them from the connector?

    Thanks for the help fellas. Thanks S10xGn especially, because you jinxed me. My C16 pin has broken off completely. I guess I need a new ECM, anyone know where I can get a decent one?
