I think it's fine if they price match, but I'm not going to do their job for them. I own my own business, and it's my responsibility to know what my competitors charge, not my customers job to tell me.
I dont pay more just to keep a vendor in business. Thats bad business on your part if you do. If someone else can sell at 20.00 less, why dont these vendors give the same deeal to the board members they want to buy from them? Whenever i need a part, I research prices. I weigh the facts, price...
For any questions about blow thru carb stuff, go to turbomustangs.com . There is a forum stricktly for the carb folks like me.
As for your quad turbo setup, are you going to run each turbo off of 2 cylinders? or are you planning to send 4 cyl into 1 turbo, then into a second turbo(this is how...
I'll assume you are refering to the electronic boost controllers as seen on many import turbo cars.
They get the boost signal and hold it until you hit the boost level you want, then open the wastegate. Basically just a solenoid setup. It helps build boost a bit quicker because the wastegate...
I took his meaning to be the edges of the tires toward the center of the vehicle. If it was the centers of the tires, or both inside and outside edges, I would agree- tire pressure.

Where can I find(preferably online) the engine specs(bore, stroke, journal dia, etc) for the turbo 3.8 motor? Also, what is the hp limint of the factory block and crank, when comined with aftermarket rods and light pistons?
Thanks all.
Phil
Are they the same width? What gears you running?
I use 28x9 M/T slicks, actual size is 27.25x 8.8, on my 88 GT Mustang. With a stock engine(t/b to collectors), I launch at 5100(5 speed) shift at 5100, go thru the lights at 5200. Best et has been a 12.97 @ 102.64 with a 1.68 60'. I use 4.30...
Kendall, thats exactly what I was thinking for the lower intake. Would definitely take alot of the difficult fab out of it. I dont want to use the 4.2l stuff, because the crank is cast, not forged like the Supercoupe crank. The blocks are all basically the same, but noone has really found the...
Yes, I'm building a 3.8 FORD. The Supercoupes are running upwards of 450rwhp, and they are turning a blower off of the crank. I think the turbo will allow more power to be produced without the strain on the crank. I think it can be done, I guess we'll see. At least I know I can get heads that...
Thanks guys! I appreciate you giving me the info and searching. I admit, I'm search deficient, someday I'll get it right!
I wish I could say that I'm building a Buick 3.8(someday I will when I find a '64 Skylark to build!), but I'm going to be putting together a 3.8 mustang with a single turbo...
