i tried a search but didn't come up with anything specific. i got the valve covers off and cleaned them up, but they are still an uneven color. is it a good idea to paint them? and if so what type of paint would last and look similar to stock? thanks,

okay just changed the plugs and wires on the buick...but i can't get the #6 cylinder plug boot to snap on...my fat fingers are no help under there. i know there has to be some trick that one of you guys have to get access to that bad boy. anyone?? thanks, jon

i think my MAF is bad, but the the tap test does nothing i guess my question is if i have a bad MAF will my scanmaster AF numbers be all over the place? because they seem normal to me is there anyother way to determine if the maf is bad?

my buick just started throwing a code 34 today. just in the nick of time, as i need to get it inspected by friday. it's probably a stupid question but how bad will a bad maf sensor screw up the emissions testing and inspection?? or should i just put off inspection till i get to the bottom of...

Its the closest to the firewall on the drivers side above the wheel well. one of the 2 wire harnesses on it was dissconnected so i pulled it off to clean the contacts, but when i had it in my hand i could hear loose parts rattleing in it. so i opened it up and there was tons of rust bouncing...

hey everyone, the black ground wire on coming off the (-) negative battery terminal seems to have melted all the insulation off of it. aka when i crank the engine over the wire gets crazy hot...... so what gives?? ever happen to you before? this occured after my car wouldnt turn...

on your buicks, are the headlamp switch and dimmer back lit?? mine isnt and have no other GN to compair it to...seems like it should, i probably just have a burnt out bulb

does anyone know where i can get a 2 5/8 full A-pillar gauge pod. the ones from lo-tek only fit 2 1/16 i have seen the single add-on gauge pod they make for 2 5/8 and in my opinion it looks and fits kinda crappy any suggestions??

ive adjusted the IAC screw almost all the way back towards the firewall and the scanmaster #'s are still in the 70's when at idle(closed loop). the car is barely able to maintain idle w/o dying (550-600 rpm's) WHAT GIVES!!:confused:

i was adjusting the IAC yesterday, and the torx head of the screw broke off. does anyone know where i can get a replacement?? or what the diameter of the screw is, so i can drill it out and jury-rig it. thanks, jonny

i have an open slot on my console gauge pod, but it seems kinda dumb to look down there to check the gauge, do most of you run yours on the a-pillar or what??

If so what could I use to remove a “cloudy white” spot from the rear deck lid, the spot appears to be ingrained with the paint, (about 9inches in diameter). I tired a cleaner wax, but no luck :confused:

Okay the turbo on my 86GN is toast; I got my hands on a rebuilt stocker and found a shop to do the install. The mechanic there says for $300 there is an oil-kit that they install to better lubricate the turbo and prolong its life. Have any of you heard of this?? And if so do you think...
