IAC screw sheared off

i was adjusting the IAC yesterday, and the torx head of the screw broke off. does anyone know where i can get a replacement?? or what the diameter of the screw is, so i can drill it out and jury-rig it.

I had the same problem last year. the bloody screw broke right in the middle. I had to drill it out and tap a new one. I just used what was laying around in the shop for the fix. HTH, Mike

Lowe's Home Improvement has a pretty good selection of metric and standard bolts. I found some exact replacement hood bolts for my GN there. They were a perfect match.

thanks for the help fellas, T-Type Mike any advice on how to drill it out?? did you use an angled bit or just remove the throttle cables first??

I just noticed, but I assume you meant the TPS, rather than the IAC?

nope, the iac is the one i broke... drivers side of the TB
