Stopped by a local used car dealer and saw a nice 98 GS. It's got 97K miles and drives really good. I saw about 7.1 psi of boost in 1st gear, then I lifted. Is that about Normal for first gear? Only thing I didn't like was the oil pan had lots of oil gunk and several drips of oil around...

It's been going on ever since I went to the TE-44 about 8 months ago. The damn gasket between the turbo and oil return tube does't want to work with me. I've tried everthing! Single GM gasket (2 times), foam gasket (2 times), made my own gasket out of thick exhaust manifold gasket (don't ask)...

Looked under the Hood of a GN for sale today and saw the letter "ANS" stamped on the head bolts. What does this mean? Are they just replacement bolts or upgraded heads? :confused: TIA

Each coming from their own tanks ofcoarse. (alky from tank in engine compartment and Xylene from gas mix in gastank as usual) Would their be any downsides or dangers in doing this? A 3:1 xylene mix would put you at about 99.5 octane and the alky should put you above 108 or so. This...

I got the whole "cooling the air charge" part, but what I don't understand is how is the octane level rainsed? If it does not raise the octane level, then is cooler air the cause for higher boost? Would any system that cools the air charge (alky, water, nos, propain) compensate for octane...

One of my lines has a small hole right between the motor and the cross member (thats what it's called right?) I can't even get in their to cut and use a rubber hose in it's place. It leaks pretty bad while driving. Can I run new tranny fluid lines? If not, what can I do to stop this leak...
