It's an Aluminum Intercooler that I just got and while inspecting the core, I found a very small hole. How do I fix this?

TIA.

I just recently had to repair a small leak in my intercooler and a dab of JB Weld worked nicely. Then, you can test the intercooler by buying a bicycle inner tube and cutting it so yo can clamp a piece over one opening in the intercooler, then clamp a piece with the air valve over the other opening and test with your air compressor at about 25lbs of pressure. Don't go higher or the tube will pop.

I really don't think a small leak could negatively affect anything though. Paul

I was thinking of using a vacuum cleaner and duct tape to make a vacuum to draw five minute epoxy into the pinholes.

O.K. It's yours Ian. :D

Thanks guys, I'll try the JB weld.

I tried the tire tube as a pressure tester once and I filled up the intertube untill it looked like the front tires on my car  (205/75/15) :D. When I checked the pressure, I got like 3psi on the tire gauge. I thought it would blow if I filled it more to try to get a reading.

The JB weld will work.
I have seen it used on a radiator over 2 years ago.
It has never leaked.
