PT-67 doesn't fit. What size turbo then??

I did have to cut it and extend it about an inch to get it to line up decent. I kept the stainless braid on so the extension isn't noticable.

I have a PTE 54, the fit is tight.

    car keeps stalling

An easy way to check the relay is to turn the key to the run position without starting the car. Listen for the fuel pump to run (should run for about 5 seconds), if it runs the relay is working.

    car keeps stalling

It could be a combination of low oil pressure and a bad fuel relay. If the fuel relay is bad the oil pressure switch is used as a backup. There may be insufficient oil pressure at idle to active the switch. So: 1) Check your fuel pump relay on the fender, if bad fix or replace 2) Check...

Over boost and severe knock after 87 ECM upgrade

We did put in the old Cal Pack. Joe Lubrant put a sticker on the new chip that shows 92 octane 30lb (injectors). Dad didn't get the translator plus so we can't retard the timing. We don't have another chip to try, the one in my car is for 50lb injectors and an intercooler. I am hoping the...

Over boost and severe knock after 87 ECM upgrade

I believe the MAT only makes very minor adjustments to the fueling. We put the resistor in so we could get the car running without having to find a place in the firewall to route the wires. We did not upgrade the Coil pack or ignition module. Who sells the thrasher chips for $25?

Over boost and severe knock after 87 ECM upgrade

I recently helped my dad replace his 84 ecm with an 86/87. At the same time we installed the translator and 3" MAF. We used a JL 92 octane chip. We installed a resistor instead of a MAT, the computer sees the MAT as 77 degrees (verified with direct scan). After the install everything seems to...

    Racegate owners

Pics Put mine on the crossover too. Had to cut through the outer wall of the crossover to weld to the inner one. Seems to work fine. I mounted mine so it wasn't the low point on the car, it fits slightly into the lower controll arm area on the drivers side. If you want to see some pics read my...

Mounting wastegate in engine bay. Problems?

I mounted mine on the crossover. I made a removable pipe from the wastegate to the downpipe to allow easy tranny access. Check out my signature (hope the link still works)

    How many V2's here

External I decided to go with the external wastegate, partially due to using Lee Thompson's 3" DP and partailly due to the PT-54 hood clearance. The fit is tight with the PT-54 if you still have the hood insulation and the metal shield that bolts to the hood (mine rubbed on the heat shield). I...

    TLink & Scanmaster patch?

Is it possible I might have a lot of EMI at higher RPM? I have new plug wires but, could the alternator be going? Once again my scanmaster doesn't seem to be presenting any bad data. I emailed Ken once and he said to try a few things ( go to dos mode from run then try booting to dos) but...

    Turbo's

Check out this thread I have posted very pertinent information about turbo selection with the V2 intake. If you want an easy install I would stick with the TA series. I know the PT-54 I put on took a bit of time getting things on properly and also required an external wastegate. Maybe if you...

    TLink & Scanmaster patch?

What is this scanmaster patch I keep reading about? I have been looking through quite a few threads trying to figure out why I get garbage data with my TLink. The data looks good most of the time but, when I go wide open throttle I seems to be missing data or it does not make sense. If I am...

    lifter tick?

I believe lifter ticks are usually caused by plungers that get stuck. If the plungers in the lifters are stuck and there is a ticking noise that would mean it is stuck in some down position. If the ticking goes away that would idicate it somehow go freed up. Given my theory above, suppose you...
