    Hotel parking security tip

Something I read on another fishing forum was to leave a baby-monitor in your pickup or boat, while parked overnight. Fisherman often vacation hundreds of miles from home, and often need to stop somewhere for the night. Thieves would often steal whatever was unsecured inside the boat...

    BLACK color question?

X3 on the ppg 1683... it is a very very deep black. Also, like the other guys said, keeping it freshly buffed and waxed makes any color look darker and more reflective. Pete

    favorite car battery brands?

Yeah that's what I mean, I'm sure the Delco's are much cheaper quality now vs. 10 years ago. I did have this one on a cheap-ass walmart battery tender whenever the car was parked so maybe that helped it last so long.

    favorite car battery brands?

My Delco in the GN is about 9 years old  so I figured it's probably time to get a new one. I've used interstates, diehards, and autozones that never seem to make it past 3-5 years in my various other cars. Should I get another Delco or try a different other brand?

    chinese made products

I couldn't agree with you more. Unfortunately "corporate america" will sell their first-born to save a couple pennies on any given part that can be purchased from China vs. made in the USA. Maybe that's the capitalist way, but at the end of the day, the only jobs left in this country will be...

    Mobil 1 extended performance

Anybody been using this in your daily driver? Mobil's website says 20,000 miles or 1 year between oil changes. It also says if your engine is under warranty to follow your oil life indicator if so equipped, which is typically around 7500 miles for my car. I've been using it for about the...

    WANTED 6 x 7.5 x 16" machinable plastic block!!!

Yeah, you are in a tough spot... wax and most plastics won't hold up too well if you start bolting valve train parts to it, especially if you plan on moving them.

    WANTED 6 x 7.5 x 16" machinable plastic block!!!

My company cnc-machines plastic prototypes and it is difficult to find any plastic stock thicker than 2-3" thick. You can either laminate a plastic like ABS, or try machining it out of round stock, i.e. 8" diameter and you order it by the foot. McMaster-Carr has a good variety of plastic...

    Bent frame

It might be that the car is twisting because it is not exactly evenly supported. If you ever just jack up a corner of your car it seems like everything bends and twists quite a bit.

    Hilarious 2010 Grand Marquis review

This review and pics cracked me up, especially if you're old enough to remember GM and Ford full-size cars from 25 years ago: Edmunds Last-Drive - 2010 Mercury Grand Marquis - LS1TECH

    Potential New GN

TR Custom Parts is right, and I'm sure GM agrees, the GN nameplate won't be coming back. Buick's focus, as most things, has shifted considerably in the past 30 years... They are obviously not targeting the same demographic they were in the 80's, so it makes sense that the styling is...
