No Motivation

I'm still motivated , just waiting for my son to give me a hand putting it back together . It's been on the lift for a few weeks now waiting on my fresh trans & converter to come home .

I could use some motivation. Car's been sitting for the last month. Running like crap and way down on power. This comes after getting her running good last year but no motivation to even find out whats wrong with it now. I even come to this site daily thinking that will light a spark, but no luck. Lol.

Post up what it's doing and what you have checked along with some scanmaster or powerlogger files if you have them and I'm sure we can figure it out ! I know it's tough owning a TB in Hawaii , surrounded by imports and no knowledge anywhere you can drive to . My son was stationed there for 3 1/2 yrs at the hospital and had a hell of a time with his modded Cobalt SS . He couldn't wait to get it home to get it running good again . We may live 3000 to 6000 miles away , but OUR knowledge is right at your finger tips !
By the way , your car should fly ..... your mods are just like mine ...... Looking forward to " working " on your car . (y) Sam

Thanks Sam. I will certainly do that if I get stuck. Just trying to find that initial kick in the butt to get me going again.

You are 100% right. There is no shop here that specializes in these cars. Most of the hardcore TB guys here will know more about how to fix their own car than any shop they can find.

Good to hear you got yours back on the road :)

well get moving:Dstart with a compression test

Finally got her running strong again. Turned out to be an ignition problem. Now I'm "motivated" to enjoy driving her once again :)

The "Turncoat T" project got sidetracked w/ 2 months in the hospital, and a yr of recovery..
Then, the 87T turned into a "fustercluck".....Now, it's gone, and I guess I'm enjoying looking at my bank acct too much, to throw a good part of it at the LS...Not sure this is lack of ambition, interest, or??

Been having "fun" helping my bud w/ his new shop...Old one burned down.
We're now beginning to replace the 62 Stude Hawk/blown LS project that was toasted. That should keep my attention for a yr...Anyone want a "largely completed" LS project, for a right price??

I Just DROVE my car out of the garage , washed it and now a little rear end break-in . Boy it's tough to keep my foot out of it , but I have to play nice for another 1/2 hr drive time . Next I'm hooking up the 2-step and getting ready for RC's shop in May . I'm putting it back on the dyno and have Bison tune it with the new turbo . Hope to see some of you guys there . Sam

Anyone else have this problem ????? I go out to the garage and STARE at my car that is almost back together !! It's like I don't know where to start , and if I do , I get side tracked with something else . I can usually get going if my son is there pushing me , but it seems that's the only way I get things done . Here are some pics of where I'm at with my motor replacement & E85 upgrade including a complete Racetronix DP fuel system with braided lines . I just can't seem to finish it off and the hard part is done , and once this is done I can send it to be painted for cheap ( owes me big time ) . Am I alone here ??? Sorry for the rant ..... just frustrated .

Well this proves how determined the Buick crowd really is:cool: That is a nice piece of Buick and congrats on getting it done. If it was easy everyone would have nice cars, truth is it is so much work that I wonder why I do it. Then I get the car out and cant get the grin off my face. :) Hope you meet you in BG some day

I've been to RC'S twice , and Norwalk once , but never been to BG. I'm thinking of checking it out and maybe stop at the corvette museum.

Bill, I think this just might happen ! My oldest has vacation to burn and so do I .

Well hear we go AGAIN !! ............ New motor still on the stand waiting to be installed , updated 5 point harness in the box waiting , and a new trans shifter cable sitting in the box on the back seat . In fareness to myself , I have been remodeling my master bathroom and I hate drywalling . Making a move on the car this weekend cause I'm going to BG in May !
Anyone else need a kick in the pants to get going ???

If I could only afford to come out from Phoenix and give you a run for your money..........

But no.

However, that should motivate you to beat up on the Mid West and South East guys, anyway..... ;)
