What intercooler are you running and for what reasons have you made this selection?

Im supposing that's all we get?
Well like I said in earlier posts I have seen quite a few things with these cars so I think if bison and turbobitt have a design they feel will help guys out there get there cars moving I think it's great.want a little more? red armstrong runs a custom slic with no alky and sees only a 10 to 15 degree increase in temps from the beginning of his pass to the end having having 1 psi of pressure drop and has very low BP on a 3 bolt housing making a 1000 hp.;)

Love it, cant ask for more than that,as they say nothing is 100% efficient but cant get much better than that. Can you pm me on some of this info, not new to the performance world as I have built a lot of high horse stuff but am really digging the turbo buick stuff so trying to go support the buick side of gm since I have always built chevy small and big block stuff also in the process of building 6.0 ls turbo motor for my wifes high school car an 84 z28. Thanks in advance for your input.

And it has a custom bottom feed scoop that opens up mid track..(y):cigar:

Their was this one I remember from way back...
1987 Buick Regal Limited- Jane's Addiction
same slic intercooler on both cars.nice article 1000 lbft of torque at low rpm and 700 hp at 5200 rpm on a 66 turbo and champion iron heads.

That's cool I wonder if there is a picture of that intercooler anywhere and why someone hasn't run with that design
There are pics somewhere, I remember someone was selling one here few years ago,
90% of this racing board aren't running a slic for various reasons.

there are a few that have and its not easy on the wallet and to my knowledge was mass marketed,i have also seen huge power from the pte slic and alky.im sure bison and turbobitt have done their homework if they can get something going that's afforadable for a lot of guys and can help them it will be a win win.

I know Bison and I can make something but the problem is that making something with American made parts and American labor rates for fabrication is not cheap compared to off shore products. So one will have to decide if the performance benefit is worth the extra $$$ providing we can prove our designs out. The ultimate goal is to make it perform better.

Running a PTE SLIC here... Bought for the price and at the time i was still running the stock Rad and I drive a lot on the street with AC. I have since though upgraded the Rad to a AlRadCo unit but still run the SLIC.

Well hope you can get something going with it as nothing is cheap in racing so Im sure youll have some people jump on board,as the old saying goes racers are going to race.

I almost have to as I live in Oklahoma and it gets rather warm around here and I like ac. Plus I like driving around and spanking all of the new stangs and modern muscle.:D

That's killer, so im assuming that boost pressure is what is applying the actuator? Have you logged any delta p and temps from inlet to outlet?

I'm going to try to get some data soon. The car's apart right now for upgrades. Yes. IC psi actuates the trap door open at about 5 psi. Door snaps shut as soon as you let off the gas. Here's a video I did.

Slic will work for sure, ive ran about half a dozen different ones but you take the same 10sec car and change to a quality front mount you will pic up in every way, mabe not pressure drop, but im guessing it will cost more to build a good slic then the cost of a fm? and it wont be easy to improve on the current Pte unit..

That's killer, looks like the trap door is curved to feed bottom part of intercooler. The pte slic I have just installed on my car looks good but the shroud will probably feed the upper part of cooler more than lower.
