Bates Nut Farm car show 7 June 2015

Fun facts.

Two years ago, we ordered 150 T-shirts for the 2013 Bates Nut Farm car show. We came up a few short.

Last year, we had about 10 -15% more people. The 180 shirts we ordered were just the right amount, with none left over.

This year, we're figuring a few more people than last year and ordered 209 shirts. We'll have from Small to 4X on hand to give out to all who drive a Turbo Buick or Turbo Buick powered vehicle to the event.

These shirts were just picked up on Friday.:)
Here's the first look at this year's free event T-shirt.

Just over one month until the event.:)

I'll be there!! Kirby from Jamul or Alpine which ever place I'm living at as I'll be moving around that time...
Super excited and can't wait to see some other TR's and meet people.

........... Is there a common hotel everyone stays at ? Or a safe one that can be recommended ? ...........

The Holiday Express in Escondido has a block of rooms under the code of: ARI. the rate is reasonable for California, as it is only $2 more than our rate in for this event in 2013!

I'll be meeting up with Papa Lou in Lake Forest on Saturday night if anyone wants to join us. We will probably have some dinner at the Lone Star but if others want to do another restaurant , we can talk about it.

Is Lou paying for dinner Saturday night????

Need an estimate for the number of kids that will be attending.

Please email me @ eric@socalbuicks.com with quantities and ages.

"A carload" doesn't give me a usable number to work with due to the aggregate cubic feet inside a TR...:)

Thanks,
Eric

I will be in attendance with my family (4)& our my '85 T Type H/A coming down from Port Hueneme Ventura Co... Starting down the Screaming Eagles Highway aka 101 about a 3 hr drive not too bad if anyone is going to caravan or meet up breakfast whatever I'm dowm... All ofcourse if my build gets done in time.... praying...

So Sunday the 7th? See ya there. I ll have my 86 Ttype (black with tan leather)
Andrew

Two weeks until the show.:)

Once again, this show (get together) is free to enter. Anyone who brings a Buick or Buick powered vehicle, gets a free event T-shirt. This is meant to be a relaxed and fun gathering of great cars and the great people who own then. It is our goal to get as many Buicks in one place as we can. Last year we had 52 Turbo Buicks or TB powered cars and about three times that many people show up. Please help us beat this number and bring your other Buick friends. :)

Event raffle.
Please support our raffle. This is the only way we pay for the show expenses.
So far, it looks like this year's raffle will be much larger than the past events. Good stuff too.;)

Nick Micale has been talking about doing a question and answer tech session during this event. Here's your big chance to ask the guru. Nick can post up more on this. Last years Alky pump leak check was a big hit. We will be doing this again this year.

Looks like we'll have a few Turbo Buick vendors at the show. Turbo Lou, AZ GN, TA Performance, Alradco, GBody Parts and Spoolfool Productions will be on hand. If you want to save shipping parts, Give them a call. They "May" be able to bring it with them to save on shipping. Spoolfool will be doing their once a year blem sale on slightly damaged bumper fillers. Turbo Lou will be giving out 200 bucks CASH, for a "Long haul award" to whoever drives their Turbo Buick the farthest to get to the event. If it is determined that It's a tie, money will be split.

We don't care if your Buick is a garage queen, show car, or one that you'd need a tetanus shot to get withing ten feet of. Bring it!:)

Don't forget to bring a chair(s) to sit in.

Any Questions?

Would my Cad be considered "Buick powered" if I tow it behind my '87 turbo Buick?

We will introduce our new line of billet, modular in-tank fuel pump hangers/senders, unlike anything being made or sold for our cars!

This project has been under development for 2 years and thanks to our association with a local shop with a 3-D printer and CNC capability, we have finally put into production our premium line of a single "SuperPumper I" and a dual "SuperPumper II"!

This modular design will allow barb fittings for stock rubber lines, or simply changing the fittings for AN lines, as well as the ability to upgrade the single unit to a double with a simple billet adapter change.

Wiring will be unique as we use MIL-spec wire and parts and positive connectors, not like the pathetic factory slip connections

The pump retention bracket is adjustable and will accommodate different pumps, and a high quality sending unit will provide accurate tank readings for analog or digital dash applications.

Along with the introduction of the units, we would like to start the tech session with fuel system discussion and the importance and implementation of this very critical part of upgrading turbo Buick performance.

We will then move to other tech subjects with a Q&A format from anyone.

Awsome nick.... maybe Ttype6 can bless us at bates and bring his reds pumper and have him provide a tech session as well. Lmfao......

Anyways I got the day off so I'll see you guys there and I will bring my money for the raffle.

As Mike has said, this show will have an abundance of raffle prizes, and I want to add a very desirable one - a complete Pypes 2-1/2" stainless steel dual exhaust system for a turbo Regal!

I have installed many of these and they sound great with NO drone, and they fit nicely with all the hardware supplied.

Check it out here:

http://proshop.summitracing.com/parts/pye-sgg50r/overview/make/buick

I have access to additional of these Pypes systems and can offer them at a show-only price of $340 if anyone is interested!

Also, we will be showcasing and selling some TA products like valve covers and timing covers which will be available at a show-only discount of 10%.

Some owners have already placed orders for specific TA parts, so let me know if you need or want any specific TA parts as well.

Another item that will be at show-only price is the 3" stainless steel RJC downpipe at $375! These are in limited supply, so it would be wise to place your request ahead of time to assure it will be available for you! :)

Mike. Eric and I have done our best to make this event the best ever, and it can only happen if YOU and your family are with us next Sunday! :D

Looks like i've waited too long to commit, the group hotel Holiday Inn is booked. :( ... off to the interwebs to find me another. Any other recommendations ?
