Why does Chuck E Cheese serve beer?

I just installed security cameras at a grocery store yesterday that SERVES pints of beer for you to drink while you shop !!!!! Brilliant !!!
Why didn't I think of this ??

Bryan
If they were really smart, they would patent a beer dispenser for the bathroom. I mean, how can you possibly shit, shower and shave without a cold brewski?

Sorry, but what the f*** is a "Chuck E Cheese" ?? o_O…Never heard of that ...

Claude.
Sorry nobody answered your question Claude. It's a restaurant/ game room that young kids love. The food in some is better then in others, but its all about the games and play areas. Chuck E Cheese is a big mouse/rat and the main character. Sorta like Ronald McDonald from Mickey D's.

I'm sure that in this day and age...if the beer served in Chuck E Cheese were causing major issues...someone would have put and end to it by now. It only takes one asshole to complain and ruin decades of non-issues over one situation.

Pics for Claude...

PS: If people are so responsible.....why does Chuck E have a 2 beer LIMIT?

because they don't want daddy getting sloppy drunk and hitting on all the moms in the place before passing out while trying to play Dance Dance revolution?

So does that mean McDonald's feels Mexican and European parents are more responsible than American parents?
As for the responsibility of American parents...the complete idiot/uneducated/ignorant/illegal SSI collecting/ illegal disability collecting/government assisted/ or just plain asshole parent far outnumbers any of us. They multiply and raise there own kind in most cases. I actually heard an overweight 22 year old girl telling a cashier at Wal-mart one time, that she was applying for SSI because neither of her parents were able to hold down a job, and she has tried 2 different jobs and neither worked out for her, so she must have a problem and is going to the "family" doctor to get the paperwork started. Sad, but the entire country is overrun with kids that feel the same way. Fat, lazy, ignorant and they feel the world owes them a living. All the years I was a Varsity football coach, you meet all kinds. I have meet 1000's of parents from all walks of life. I also have had my share of poor kids whos parents never even came to watch, or pick them up from practice, or come to the end of year banquet...ever. I have bought more shoes and items for my players then I will ever for my own family. Then I watch them graduate or drop out and have no guidance in life at all. Several are in jail or were. Others are in dead in jobs and with just a little guidance...they could have been in college. The young man that pumps my gas at the corner station, played for me for 4 years. He had offers from several colleges, but his parents would not take the time to go visit or make arrangements. I never found out until it was way too late. He could have been a very good ball player in college and would have had a great outlook on life after getting to know other kids with some drive and ambition.
Just a year or two ago...I was shopping in Wal-mart food section and was picking up snacks for the football game on a Monday night. There was a boy...about 8 years old...walking down the isle pushing and crushing all the chips in the bags. Just smashing them one after the other. He didn't even care I was standing there. I told him to stop...and not touch another thing. He looked at me and walked away and around the corner into the next isle. About 30 secs later...here come his mom pushing a cart and his dad ( huge sloppy looking dude) on a scooter from the store. The kid whispers in his ear and points to me. I just stood there. They made there way to me, and he says..."did you say something to my son?" I replied "Yes".
"You shouldn't have done that...nobody talks to my kids that way." I said..."Yep...its obvious. He's not well behaved." The mom asked what was wrong. I said he was smashing all the bags of chips...one after the other. The dad says..."that's what kids do". I said..."No, that's what ignorant kids do". "People work hard for their $$$ and don't need to spend it on a product that has been damaged by something out of their control." He tells me to mind my own business or else. Well you guys know me.....I just had to find out what "or else" was....after all, enquiring minds want to know. Well he was gonna take me outside and after 6 months of conditioning, a good diet, some strength training and a tank of oxygen...I was in for it.
I just walked away and found a stock person and told them what was happening. I don't think there was anything the stock person could do but watch, but I left. Just that stupid little chat with the deadbeat parents tells you what that "fine young man" will grow up to be. He'll make the 6 o'clock news in a few more years or the police blotter before that, and Dad will be soooo proud. He'll ride that Government supplied scooter right to his monthly visits at Greensburg Prison and be so proud he raised such a contributing member of society. I'll buy him a bumper sticker..."Proud parent of the kid who stamped your personalized plate"...hahahaha
Love your kids. Treat them to treat others like they want to be treated, but most of all...teach them to call out the people doing wrong. If more people spoke up about the small things...it would make a big difference. They don't have to confront anyone, but tell someone in charge. Make it right.

Since you asked, 1) Because they would get sued otherwise in our litigious society and 2) They don't have those limits at the Mexico or European establishments.

I do respect that you have a different opinion to me.

the drinking didn't kill your parents, your parents killed themselves by not controlling their drinking.
it's what got my dad- came home drunk and didn't want to come in the house so he passed out in the running car in the garage. i don't blame the beers he had: i blame the poor choices he made that night that led to his death.
i have several relatives and friends that have had health problems and even died due to their use of alcohol, but i don't blame the Budweiser clydesdales or Captain Morgan..

back to Chuck E Cheese: if the father wants to have a couple of beers to drown out the screaming kids and noisy video games and maybe allow himself to have a little fun while they are there, then why can't they have a couple of beers? as long as the wife somehow stays sober to drive home without going on a killing spree in the arcade part of the place, where's the issue?

No one is forcing you to have any. Sorry you have had such strife. I hope you are able to get over it and be productive.

I suppose I shouldn't drink beer when I'm roasting marshmallows for smores with my kid in the backyard during the summer. I'm a horrible parent. I need church.

I think that the tone of a post is often misconstrued. I NEVER blamed the alcohol....but it didn't help the situation. The alcohol is the instrument or catalyst or whatever else you want to label it. Usually the alcohol will mask or escalate some other problem. Unfortunately you and I and most of the others on this site will debate it differently. Like I tried to say earlier, I am not trying to sway you. I have yet to see where alcohol has influenced people for the better, that's all. Isn't that what some country songs are made of after all...lol. I love the fact that we at least have that liberty still remaining in this country!
It wasn't my intention earlier to put anyone down, so in return I wish you all would do the same. I have enjoyed being a part of this community, without others throwing my religion down. It is only because of the grace of God that I overcame my own addiction to alcohol twenty years ago and because of HIS blessings have gotten to where I am in my life today! God is good all the time, all the time God is good!!
Thanks,
John

They'd get sued because many folks are irresponsible and would drink too much. If they didn't sell it in the first place, they wouldn't have this problem. Anything for a buck.....

You need to find another place to shower and shave....just sayin

they are in business to make money, and if selling a couple of watered down overpriced beers with an overpriced greasy pizza makes them more money, then what's the harm?

i don't drink, never did. i don't have anything against alcohol or the people that choose to consume it, it's just not something that i've ever felt the need to put into my body.
but almost everyone i know does, and not all of them get sloppy drunk and does stupid stuff on a regular basis. some drink to get wasted and forget, some drink just enough to loosen up, some nurse a beer all night to fit in, some drink to have an excuse to act like stupid rednecks.. i can tell you one thing: i've been to a lot of parties with a lot of alcohol being consumed, and they were infinitely more fun and memorable than the few that i've been to where there was little to no alcohol consumption going on- which is probably why a place like Chuck E Cheese has beer on the menu..

I can't remember how many of those parties I had gone to in the years right out of high school. They were definitely a complete waste of my time. The one thing I do remember is the regrets I have for ever going to them. I remember a friend of mine telling me " You are the devil" for enticing him to go out and drink with me. That has always stuck with me. (He was ejected out of his car on three separate occasions, each time while driving drunk--broke his neck twice). I can honestly say I have more fun now, being a dad of three wonderfully great kids, a husband to a faithful and devoted wife and of course the owner of one fantastic 1987 Buick GN....than any alcohol will ever provide me with! Look, this debate could go on for ever, but that doesn't mean it should. It is a good read however. I think I will stick to injecting it into my engine instead of my body. ;)

I'm an alcoholic and have no issues with the fact that I consume at least 1 pint of whiskey every day. Why? Because of what I've done over the last 50 ears. I've had my father die in my arms while I was giving him CPR and my mother stood there and watched it, and did nothing. My fiance dumped me the very next day and broke my heart. Later I had an incredible woman tell me that she loved me 5 years later and then throw me away so her family would approve of the idiot she married. My life is a tragedy and no matter what I still survive. Why? I don't know, but God wants me alive for some reason and the alcohol helps me keep it together until the time that his reason becomes clear. Don't blame the alcohol because you don't know the reason behind why someone drinks, just accept them as a flawed person and love them for who they are. Sorry guys and gals, but this is a very hard time for me.

Here's an idea...just give the beer to the kids, that way their time at Chuck E's will be infinitely more fun and memorable for the parents. :D
