I didn't see any posts, did I miss them?

Car & Driver has them. I didn't read the full article, it might be a wish list.

GN in colors? Turbo 4 cyl or na v6?
GNX seems right but that should be the base GN motor.

I hope if its real, they make some changes.

Where did you see that? In the actual magazine? There's nothing on their website that I can find.

Is this readable? From my ipod

exactly why the hell do they bring back these legendary cars, and ruin them with 4 doors and under powered motors...

dodge charger being number 1, i was so disappointed when i saw what the charger turned into..
number 2, i hear there is a dodge dart in the works... disappointed to only find out it is a newly designed dodge neon...

Chrysler really enjoys destroying legend names..., and if the GN looks like that in the picture add the new GN to the list..

like others stated leave the GN alone, it was born a legend and died a legend we dont need any new patterns coming out that wont even touch the impact the first generation did...

Hopefully that pic is generic and not factual and it must be in black only.

you do understand that the original Dodge Dart was a compact economy car that had a big engine option for a couple of years, right?

do your feathers get all ruffled every time you see a mid 90's fwd Regal 4 door with a GS badge on it?

People on here need to put away their Jump-to-Conclusions mats. That's a crappy rendering of a bulbous ass-car that will never see the light of day.

Any Office Space reference gets a like from me. :)

About the car:

It will most undoubltly be based up on the Chevy SS (which is coming)

It will most likely have an LS based powerplant similar to the Chevy SS with Buick Badging etc..
Since the car is a carryover of the Holden branded version I would expect a slightly better than normal fit/finish, but GM has been doing better lately in that department regardless..

GM most likely won't make a 2-door as it will start to infringe on Camaro sales... I'm guessing they see a niche mid-range 4-door performance car market that's left unfilled with the demise of the G8. (I'd consider the CTS-V a lux/performance)

I'd expect 4 doors
LS Power
Buick Branding
45k sticker price

If they make it, it'll be a two door. There will be all kind of pics released but non with be real. Give it time.

Lol but my mat is clean- obviously there has been a ton of fake photos around and I don't know what its going to look like. I'm just saying if they do it ,to give the car all it deserves , not like a revamped dart.

Just caught this thread and some of my customers have sent me article from current April Car & Driver magazine. From what the article says it appears it will be a 4 door. Buick has not had a coupe in their line up for a number of years. One can only hope GM don;t screw it up like the did when they brought back the GTO after a 30 plus year absence which never really caught in with the Pontiac crowd. (I owned 05 GTO not to mention many of the early ones)

Based on what I see in my current daily travels I see very few of the Regal Ts turbos they made on the road. If they go for a halo car they oughta do it in a coupe. Halo meaning limited production to generate interest in the Buick model line up here in the states. They certianily are not going to make it for their China customer base.

Be great if they do it right....while most of us are still capable of driving and not in the old folks home. The article says 2.0 four cylinder turbo charged or a 3.6 and the GNX will be a twin turbo putting out 400 hp. Manual transmission will be available. Hey if nothing nothing else it gives Buick owners some hope and time to start saving money towards the deposit or payment in full. The key I think to decent sales will be if they make it a coupe!

Lets hope their is a few nice touches that tie it into the models of yesteryear (1984-1987) and I don't mean the poor paint jobs, or body fit or powermaster brake systems.

coupes aren't big sellers these days unless they are marketed as sporty cars for the younger crowd and middle aged men having a midlife crisis. and Buick doesn't aim for the younger crowd or the midlife crisis crowd- GM already has those covered with the Camaro and Vette...

the 04-06 GTO was a test to see if there was a market for a rwd mid size 2 door with a V8 engine in the US.. they sold as many as they wanted, and ended production when they had planned on it- right when they did the switch over to the next generation Holden Monaro. the success of that car led to the Camaro getting developed on the next generation of that chassis, as well as the G8 and the new Caprice and SS 4 doors..

That's the rub. Nobody buys coupes unless they're buying niche cars. Buick doesn't want a niche car. They want a big seller that they can put a halo on with the GN and GNX trim packages.

The path that makes most sense is what Dennis mentioned: a new Regal based on the Holden Commodore/Chevy SS platform. It will be four-door, because that's what sells. Americans are fat, and fat people don't like crawling in and out of the back seat of a coupe when they go to lunch with their friends. People don't want to struggle to get kids in and out of a child seat. I often take my daughter to car shows, and wrestling her seat into the back of my GN, and then getting her in is a PITA. These are all things that factor heavily in a family's choice to buy a car, and Buick wants them to buy their cars. They want to sell hundreds of thousands of $35K base four-door Regals to people pulled into the showroom by a $45K Grand National and a $55K GNX.

You guys demanding a coupe need to chill out. Pontiac tried it with the GTO. It failed. They won't do it again. If you want a coupe, get a Camaro or a Corvette.

Sorry ,but I think there were more reasons for the Holden GTO not working than it being 2doors.
