Anheiser-Busch sold to Belgians.

While I agree Anheuser-Busch made primarily "moose-piss" beer (think "Buttwiper" er I mean "Budweiser") I think the thing that pisses me off is how many Americans are losing their jobs? Will they be compensated in any way? Or will the president just take an early retirement and not be concerned about his former co-workers?

BTW I'll never pay for another Anheuser-Busch product as long as I can help it.

Sad to see a huge American Business Icon get sold off because of a weak dollar and stock holders that care only about $$.

People will lose jobs and who knows how much of the current marketing/product development will stay the same.

WTF, this country is headed down the toilet. soon nothing will be american owned. buy the way, i drink bud light and think it is deeelicious.

If you think the rednecks down here in Mississippi are gonna get mad if Obama is elected...see what happens if bud light supplies run out...

That would be killing the goose that laid the golden egg. They can't be crazy enuff to slow down Bud production.

Lots of concern in Merrimack wondering if the Bud plant here closes. It a large employer here in NH and the facility is beautiful. They house the horses here too. I just went on a tour last month.

I called on several Bud plants when I was working. All were complaining that beer sales were stagnant, and that beer was so competitively priced, noone was making money.
IMO, Auggie Busch and family can KMA!! His beer tastes like it's been run thru a kidney, just prior to bottling...
Yep. The production will slowly be reduced here, and then more and more will come in by boat.. All contributing to the downfall of the American worker's future.

They house horses in Ft Collins Co as well, Kinda cool. I will keep drinking Bud Light,,,,

Just another example of American wealth being outsourced to other countries!

Bud light drinker here. I have thought about switching, but to what? Can't drink Coors , Might be able to do MGD light. Maybe Miller light? Man this is one problem no one needs!

Amber Bock is good, but anything else out of A-B pretty much sucked!!!!

Dang!!!! I just realized Amber-bock is a Michelob brew. Never mind

I dunno but I myself like Killians. Not sure if it's the best beer or close to, but IMO it beats Bud, Coors or Miller.

Those are some pretty good beers. They actually tase like.....uh, beer. Samual Smith's (not Adams)Tadcaster is something I like to treat myself too every once in awhile. Mmmmm.

If I am gonna booze on the cheap, ya can't beat Lonestar.
Not to mention the other fine Texas varieties, Shiner, Real Ale (Full Moon Pale Rye), etc.

I know the rednecks and frat boys are gonna be pretty broken up about the Bud Light deal. Sorry ya'll. But if you are looking for a beer that tastes about as good there's always Keystone.

Good!! Maybe they will produce somethng other than the swill A-B has been pushing all of these years. BTW , the guys that started A-B were Belgian. They produce some of the finest beers in the world. Just don't believe that Heineken is how it all tastes.

AMEN Brother!!! Couldn't have said it better myself!! Sorry A-B fans :D

Samuel Smith makes the best beer on Earth IMO. I was actually lucky enough to visit the brewery in Tadcaster, Yorkshire several years ago - that was an awsome experience. got pictures of me pulling pints behind the bar at the brewery-owned "Angel and White Horse" pub next door. I'm drinking ice water out of a Samuel Smith pint glass as I type this - it woud be beer, but I'm still at work. I like the Taddy Porter, my wife likes the Oatmeal Stout.
