Anyone using Billet Street Lite Race Wheels???

i based that comment on merely an eyeball observation. ive had prostars crack on me, and im very cautious after that.

the rims are sitting at a friends shop and i wont be seeing them until spring.

I had similar ultra light HoleShot brand wheels crack with street use. I think that the lateral forces of turning, combined with rougher roads than the track, contributed to the eventual cracking and failure. I'd be SUPER cautious using a super light race wheel for primarily street driving.

well these are billet so I didn't know if they would be better than my hose reels

Lmao!!

ATTI2D... Do you realize she takes all the attention away from whatever you said in your post...but THANK YOU VERY MUCH!:D

I agree they will look absolutely HOT on a GN or TR. Ive actually seen these in person at PRI. They are much stronger and stouter than a Weld POS will ever be. The bolt on center caps are a very nice addition.

The only issue just like all other racing wheels , you are going to see lots of cars with matching wheels. The Mustang guys are going nutz over these too. Thats likely why they are back ordered, everyone wants something new and different.

I was just saying the same thing to another GN bud in Chicago. Kinda makes me not want them now. I did a google search and found pics of them on a few cars. They look great. The f-body boys are all over them too. I guess it will be the next Pro-Star.

I ran a set of prime 5 spoke ultra lites years ago on my toyota pick up for years until they split on me going down the freeway. Ultra light and I loved them. The issue you have to deal with is whether your'e willing and ready for a nasty suprise like I had at 75mph or higher.

I will post a pic here shortly when I get my tires mounted and wheels on car!
I like them better then pro-stars. But its nice to have some not everyone has.

Wow, these are sweet and super light. I think I found my new rims for the 69 GTO this spring.

My 15x10 Centerlines were 19lbs each while their 15x10 is 16lbs each.

Nice wheels but I agree it does look like they will end up fairly popular/common. I have another bizarre wheel idea cooking up for next summer that nobody has on a Regal yet. ;)

In my previous post I thought these were the new Weld Wheels, then I read it again and saw that they are Billet Wheels.

Has anyone seen the new Greg Weld Design Prostars yet? I saw them in Summit but cannot locate any other pics of them.

Come one guys! all these posts and still no pictures of these wheels on a Buick????

I'm considering ordering a set also, but I'd really like to step up (from stock rims) to at least 16's. I've been pondering wheel selection for months now.

IMO, the Street Lites are priced exceptionally well for a billet wheel, but for a few bucks more, there are quite a few other options.

Well mine came in today but there seems to be an issue with the front...I ordered 3 1/2's for the front and the cap on the end hits the center cap on the rim before it sits flush so im lost...If i can figure out how to get them to work i will post pics soon of the street lites on a GN....any suggestions? Thanks everyone for any help in advance

so....you're saying the centercaps are hitting the front wheel bearing dust caps?

if so, man that kinda sux! I've already ordered a set, mine should be here late next week.

Please keep us posted.

the center cap was hitting the grease cap. the grease cap is metal so i just flattened it out with a hammer until the rim would sit flush, it worked fine. I also used my 1/4 inch spacers, but it didnt need them
