Admit nothing, Deny Everything, and make Counter Accusations.
Before you open your mouth and sound like an idiot,
1. is it necessary?
2. Is it kind?
3.Will it hurt someone?
I was always told to keep my mouth shut and ears open.
Don't argue with stupidity/idiots. There is no reasoning with them and they will beat you with experience and drag you down to their level.

Anyone else care to jump in?

Beware the man with only one gun.
He might just know how to use it.

Life is hard,
It's even harder if you're stupid.

Walk softly,
And carry a big stick.

And my all time favorite.

It's better to have guns with no food,
Than food with no guns.

The white stuff in top of bird crap is still bird crap.

You will see corn three times. In the store, on your plate, and just before you leave for work the next day.

Better to "have it and not need it" then "need it and not have it"! ....That's how I justify most all my purchases!

The secret to carrying on, is not getting carried away.

If you aren't going to make any money you might as well stay home, there is always plenty to do at the house you won't get paid for.

If you don't bring a pen, you might as well come to work nekked.
This last one is sort of out dated, but was gospel back in the eighties where I worked.

There are three kinds of people in this world....
one's who make things happen,
one's who watch what happens,
and those who wonder what happened.

- Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6

- You don't have to run faster than the bear, just faster than the other people

Just saw this thread reminds me of a story my Dad would tell at his speaking engagements. During the 1970s and 1980s we would travel all over the US. He was a gifted speaker.

Anyrate here is the story that still rings true today

It refers to the Berlin wall:

The people of East Berlin got a truck load of garbage and dumped it on the west Berlin side. The people of West Berlin could have done the same thing, but instead got a truck load of fresh fruit and foods and neatly stacked it on the east berlin side with thit note "Each gives what they have"....

Point being.....catch the opponent off guard with kindness.....

Youngsters probably have no idea about the Berlin Wall.......

I have no idea if the story is true or not...

There are three kinds of people in this world, those that are good with numbers and those that are not.

NO wait....There are TWO kinds of people in this world, the kind who's car gets cleaned when they drive in the rain and the kind who's car gets dirty when they drive in the rain.

While doing my internship job for school, the fellow I was learning from said, "Steal with your eyes, not your hands."

Wisest words I've ever heard from a former boss:

"The only constant in the universe is change."

Very true in my life.
