lol, that's funny.

So far my heap has gone 10.66 @122 on the limiter (wrong gear). Next year will be much different when I have a proper short block.
I'm thinking a 9.90 tonight. I will bring my helmet to show you how to drive that white car lol

well, that 10.41 pass was with a 1.58 60' . That pass should have been a 10.1x pass with my normal 1.42-1.44 60'. So with the 200lb driver mod your right, it would be 9.9x pass.

122mph on the limiter?? Where is it set at? A 3.70 gear should be good for 130 with an LS engine unless the converter is way too loose.

6000RPM --- converter was way wrong 24.5% slippage (turbo 6 converter came with the car). I swapped out my "too loose" converter with a buddy's "too tight" converter. I figured why not give it a try (free) and see before having a new converter made. This converter is at 5.2% now, much more acceptable and my old converter worked great for him so worked for both of us. I gained 6mph and dropped 800 rpm. spinning 1.58 60' it ran 10.41@ 128.4 last time out. hoping for the 9.99 once all the bugs are worked out.

With a 4788 turbo??

LOL, I know right. Its a bone stock right out of the junk yard LQ4. The rods fold up into an "S" in these stock engines somewhere near 650 to 750whp. This year I'm getting my feet wet. I can't step on it too hard (12 psi of boost) as I want this block to last so I can use next year if possible and slinging a rod out the side of it would but an end to that. the 10.41@128.4 was on the limiter again at 950 to 1000'. Needs a gear bad.

Limiter set to 6000 for the same reason, all stock truck engine. I guess this car at race weight to be at or over 4000lbs based on the previous owners 3550 in TSM, so thats not helping too much either. Next year it will have a properly built bottom end and be turned up.

on a side note, the complete engine, turbo, 60mm JGS WG, hotside, DP, Injectors, adapters, so on ... everything to do the swap has cost me $3600. And it pushes 4000lbs to the tens (maybe nines soon), I can't feel to bad about it. :D

They fold into an S? Others have made low 9 sec power on them for many passes.

true, but how long they last at this level varies from engine to engine. Some a season, some 20 passes. RPM is a big factor. The people who stay under 6000rpm tend to last longer.

The LQ9 and LS3 rods will handle alittle more abuse but typically it happens in the 650 to 750whp area. Let me dig up a pic of one of our rods that bent in a 5.3 engine. The engine surprisingly stayed running, just alittle down on power due to comp loss as the piston was still down in the hole .100" at TDC. LOL. Changed the rod before it let go and that 5.3 is still going ($300 engine).
