Which valve cover gaskets?

I replaced the pass side valve cover gasket because it was leaking at the rear.I figured I'd use the rubber ones,but it has already pushed out the rear again The car has breathers on both covers to relieve pressure.
Is this common?
Should I use cork?and will it help not push out?

I think the general consensus here is to use the rubber ones. I used the Felpro and RTV sealant together. I have been leak free for about 6 months. You have to be really careful not to over tighten the vc bolts. Search for the proper torque. It seemed like barely a turn from hand tight. It works though. Good luck.

NAPA has some nice ones. They have a metal core surrounded by cork. I put them on my car this last go around and haven't leaked yet, but then again, I only have about 100 miles on it...

I probly over torque'd them.I just installed a new one with black rtv/gasket/black rtv/cover and lightly tightened them.If this doesn't work I'll look into the NAPA metal/cork ones.
