which exhaust wheel option?

I'm revamping my setup a little and have sent my turbo
in for a rework (to limit for seals, beraing etc...) While
it's there I want them to update it (originally a PTE
TE60 w/.63 housing from 1997) to modern
standards/technology.

I've run 50lb inj, ported heads (to be installed)
MaxEffort, MPE stretch IC, 3200 9" converter and the rest of the typical supporting mods.

I've decided to go with the GT 61mm compressor
wheel (their suggestion because it fits)...but I'm undecided on the exhaust wheel.

I mainly run street and 1/8th mile, with an occasional 1/4 mile track trip. I originally was going to run the GT350 wheel but they said I might be better off sticking with my current exhaust wheel (11 blade stage 3, what ever that
means). He thought it would spool quicker than the
GT350 (9 blade)...and would be better to run for
street & 1/8th mile runs...any thoughts? I don't doubt his knowledge but am looking for other "user" thoughts.

All the differing turbo designations confuse the hell out of
me.

Thanks for any info
Scott

With a 3200 stall converter and ported heads, I would think the choice would be between the GT350 and something bigger like the 69 trim or P trim. I went from a PTE54 (60-1 compressor, 69 trim turbine) to a GT67 compressor and P trim, and it really doesn't seem to spool much, if any, slower when I brake torque up to at least 5-6 psi for a launch. On the highway it may be just a hair slower but it's perfectly acceptable to me. So I'd go with at least the GT350, if I were you.
