I want to get a "Hobbs" switch to build mine own double pumper set up.

Anyone know?

I have the pumps and a second hanger.

A friend of mine can make the wire harness.

Thanks, JS

JS,

NOS (Nitrous Oxide Systems) sells a really nice Hobbs switch that is adjustable so you can fine tune your 2nd pump turn on point. I believe this is the same switch that ATR uses with their double pumper setup.

I bought one last year from NAPA. Adjusted it with my air compressor and air guage. Don't remember the number, but it adjusts from the top and it is to be used in line.. .12 volt side.

However, I have had 2 switches fail over the years so check them often. Somehow the pressure adjustment can get off or it may just quit working. Their cheap in price, but could cost you a motor.

oil pressure sending unit for a kubota gas engine-

engine family is WG750

the switch is fully adjustable and is a sealed unit-

NAPA sells em, and its the same same switch sold in the NAAWWS KITS

Just got the NOS piece from Summit. NOS part # 15680
adjustable from 14 to 22 or 24 #

A key element is a one way valve so that the second pump can't push pressure back against the 1st. I'm doing an external second pump using an Aeromotive A1000. Same principal.

You can mail order it from Allied electronics. www.alliedelec.com

5000 series Hobbs switch part number is
611-3018

It's an adjustable unit (set @10psi) Normally Open. 1/8ntp

$16.07 .........cheap.

hope that helps.

If I was using it for DP I would want it to open later than 10 PSI. 10 will make it run rich on street settings. The adjustable you can set so that it only cuts on when you go to high boost when you need it.

SULLY-

the switch is adjustable, so it doesnt have to be set at 10 psi all the time.

you can turn the allen head on the top, and then the setting will be higher-

Opps I know the one I use is adjustable and misread the link that Jeff posted. On the PDF page it looked like they were not adjustable.
