Ok looking for some input I have a 86 GN in the middle of restoring. It's a almost rust free ( couple small spots) completely disassembled we want to insure it for what it's worth but I have no idea what that is any suggestions ?

Dissembled its not worth much to an insurer. Not sure an insurer would even write a policy on a car that s disassembled. If registered and complete it would need to be appraised to determine value but even then the value will be condition dependent and could range wildly . you can check muscle car values sources but that is going to be condition dependent also. My guess is an original complete running drivable non rusted, non restored 86 will be in the 6 to 18 range and depend on mileage and condition. My very original 70k mile clean 87 was appraised at 14.8k and. I doubt I'd get that if I tried to sell it.

Go with an agreed policy, mine cost me $200 a year in pieces or a daily driver its an agreed amount if something happens....Mike

Look to see if you have a insurance specialist in your area that handles classics and special interest vehicles. I use northwest classic insurance. Agreed value policy. They will monitor the changing value and adjust your policy value with the market of your car.
