What am I missing with this set up?

With the Mods. I've done to my 87 G/N I don't feel my MPH or ET's are where they should be. My best pass is 12:87 at 106 with 6lbs of boost at launch. My 60' time is 1.90's. The air temp. was about 85 degrees. Am I missing something or are my times about right? Please be patient I'm new to turbo's and trying to learn what to do. Thanks in advance!

Pump gas and radials? If so then it sounds like it's running pretty good. Are you keeping it in 3rd gear? Overdrive will hurt your MPH. How lean are you going through the traps?

Yes, pump gas. That run was on semi-sticky tires. It was in over drive.

Try keeping it in drive and using a TCC lockup switch. Also what is the fuel pressure set at?

How many pounds of boost are you running?

Fuel pressure is 40 with Vac. on. 21 pounds of boost. How much if any will race gas help?

21 psi. is a little low for alky.

You should be able to work your way up to 23-24 psi. no KR.

What timing are you using?

Is that a TA or TE 60 turbo? IMO your mph is way off for your combo. Are you running really rich or is the alcohol bogging you down? Are you running a stock converter?

I'd agree, it should be 3-4 mph faster. I could be kinda rich. Is the transmission in good shape and not slipping? Also, be sure it's floored (and the throttle blade opens all the way), and no floor mat in the way.
At this point, I don't think race would make much difference.
