how much weight can I take off the car? aluminum bumper brackets,fiberglass bumpers,removing the a/c,etc.
 
Weight savings:

front bumper :
steel reinforcement= 64.5
aluminum reinforcement = 45.8
savings = 18.7 lbs

Bumper Export Braces:
(export brace replaces inner bumper support)
Chrome steel bumper with small steel export brace, no lights installed = 33.5 LBS
Front steel chrome bumper with only the export brace attachments, minus the center piece, no bumperettes, but does have the full length black strip = 26.5 LBS

rear bumper:
steel reinforcement= 69.5
aluminum reinforcement= 45.8
savings = 23.7 lbs

rear brake drums:
steel = 12.5 lbs each
aluminum = 8.0 lbs each
total savings =9 lbs

front sway bar:
stock solid = 30 lbs
f-body hollow = 14.5 lbs
savings = 15.5 lbs

front rotors:
stock = 17.5 lbs
aftermarket (SSBC) = @ 9.5 lbs
total savings = 17 lbs

front calipers:
stock = 6.75 lbs each
aftermarket (SSBC) = @ 3.25 lbs each

This is equivalent to removing 95 lbs. of non reciprocating weight (claim made by RJC)
 
an Fbody radiator is a good cheep way to knock off a bunch of weight off the nose too.
 
My 95% complete front steel bumper was 55lbs, my fiberglass bumper is less then 4lbs, I didn't weigh the front steel support bumper shocks but I'm guessing less then 10lbs a piece, planing on aluminum one my self. They are said to be lighter.....

just about done lighting up murphs T and thats down to just over 3000 lb car only

power seat setup adds 11lbs vs manual
power windows the regulator for power weighs 5.5lbs ea , the manual weighs 3.9lbs ea , so not much and then theres the wiring switches relay which might be about a little over a pound so going manual only looses about 3.5lbs ... he wanted to go manual but we kept the power because his cage A pillar bars running infront of dash got in the way of a manual crank
power lock solenoids are about 1 lb ea + wiring so maybe 3lbs

if you have a roll bar the crash bars inside the door can be removed which we did on murphs they weigh approx 12.5 lbs ea there went 25lbs , loose the rubber strip at door bottom thats 2lbs and loose the concert door speakers that was another 5

most of those weights listed must not have been done on a certified scale , much of what i read on that list is inaccurate , i could see a pound or two but some are off over 10lbs on the claims ..

the old saying 'your results may vary' definitely applies

So only around 17lb apx difference. Thought it would have been more than that. Mine has no power accessories, concert sound, export front bumper/aluminum rear, aluminum drums, and aluminum wheels. Never had it on a scale though.
 
Good stuff, lighter cars are easier on parts, brakes and quicker

the struts (shocks) weigh 16lbs ,,thats not each but for all four front and rear
the aluminum ones weigh under 4lbs ..all 4 of them
