Van Nuys Blvd Cruise this Wed 7/13/11

There is a cruise in Van Nuys, the 2nd Wednesday of every month.

Most park in the Ralphs parking lot on Van Nuys Blvd and Oxnard.

The NE corner was the old Rydell car lot- 6001 Van Nuys Blvd

Summer months draw 300-500 cars.

Here is a little history on this cruise.
Cruise night returns to Van Nuys Boulevard

LAPD supports this cruise because it was organized by an older crowd.

Lots of hotrods (Chevelles, Novas, 30s Fords, Mustangs etc)

Turbo Buicks get a fair amount of attention here, since usually only 1 (mine) or 2 turn out.

Starts at 7pm and goes till 10 or 11p.

This is a good, monthly local meet, out of the summer heat that the local TB crowd can gather.

It is at night, so no can use the heat as an excuse.

Went to Van Nuys back in 1976 when the cruising was in full swing. That experience totally influenced me becoming a total gearhead! Remember it like yesterday. Oh to be 20 years old again!

Gary, your vette was sick.

Love the TT set up you had on that thing.

Saw it get a bit squirelly as you went down the Blvd.

Hopefully we will see you at the next cruise in August.
