Using spare tire fuel tank for Alky?

Is there any reason not to use one of those spare tire fuel cells for holding your alcohol? Seems like you'd only need some tubing to make the reach and you'd have a pretty darn big alcohol reservoir and no fear of a leaking tank going boom in the underhood area.

On sale for $199 at Gbopyparts No I don't have one but figured it'd make sense to use one giving several benefits such as a stealthier install, no flammable tank of alcohol under the hood, and a larger reservoir than the usual overflow tank gives.

I'm not sure that having a tube of alky running from the rear to the front would be any safer unless it was steel fuel line tubing.
Don't get me wrong, I don't like the idea of the fuel being under the hood either but I have to live with it there for now.
