turbo oil restrictor

about 4 months ago i put my gn on the dyno and the turbo let go and oil was going into the downpipe and smoking alot. i have 75 cold and 20 hot idle presure and a booster plate. a old timer told me about putting a .060 restrictor in the oil line going to the turbo, like a carb jet seeing i have -4 an with a filter for the feed line.

what is your thoughts on this?
 
My new dual ball bearing turbo would smoke at idle. I installed a .045 redtrictor, not only did the smoking stop but with the reduced windage of oil, the turbo spooled a lot faster. I've had it like this all summer and the turbo is happy, no issues. I'm using a Garrett dual ball bearing Centre section, I have a 10 AN drain and similar oil pressure as you.
