I bought a 1987 GN and the owner gave me the Turbo Link Program which I downloaded to my laptop. The cable he also gave me goes into the cigarette lighter, then another to the larger computer port leading to the ECM and then the third to the computer. I bought a DB9 to USB converter so the cable can go into my laptop as a USB connection because my laptop was too new to have the cable fit in. As I tried to use the Turbo Link 4.1 system, it kept stating that no connection was being made. I triple checked and it looks like all the coonections were being made. But the computer software keeps stating cannot read due to no connection. Would anybody know why or be familiar with this?
Thanks!
