what do you guys do to really make a turbo 350 perform?

im talking shift feel, firmness, timing, the works.

is there a way to modify your stock valve body to make it a reverse manual valvebody.

ive always used the transgo 1-2 kit and have had good luck with it. just looking for new info and other peoples opinions.

-thanks

5 clutches in the direct, dual feed the directs, double up sun gear bushings (redill lube holes), drill 2nd and 3rd feed for firmer shifts. .125 and .140" respectively.
Block 2-3 accumulator if dual feeding.
Retain full 1-2 accumulator function, cushion spring, add stripped low reverse friction behind int piston.
Hardened sprag race, new int roller clutch or 36 element sprag and drum assembly.

Otherwise good stock rebuild with attention to detail/wear points.

Replace all the bushings...

thanks for the reply jake! ill keep that in mind for the next build.

what would cause a delayed soft shift into 2nd?

right now it has a transgo 1-2 shift kit with the accumulator pinned
