You kinda need to chose one or the other. The people that you want to work on your car, don't have dynos. The people with the dynos, don't know enough about our cars to be making the best choices on what parts work good on these things. Find a good Turbo Buick guy to sort out your car and combo, then take it to a good dyno place (Vaca performance) to tune. Or better yet, if you have a good Buick guy, he'll help you put a safe tune on it.
Where do you live.

Been out of the Buick scene for awhile. Just wondering, what are the best GN tuner shops in Socal these days? Preferably one that has a dyno for tuning.
try the master tuner himself, i heard he squeezed out 50 horses from just adjusting the IAC sensor....no that takes alot of brains im sure he'll chime in later in the post
here you go! timing not to exceed 27 degrees on race gas & 18 degrees on 91 octane, A/F 11.5 is safe 12.3 is on the edge but will make the most power, boost, 14 # on 91 octane & 25# on at least C-16 race fuel, these are ballpark figures with many variables depending on combination. Lots of experience here with many of us that have been there & done that. No dyno shop can offer that. You provide it & then back it up once its done on a dyno. Thats the way it works. These are not a SBC with a carburetor.Find someone who has been sucsessful to help you & then listen to that person & thats what it takes.Would anyone disagreeCorona. That's weird, I would think that to get the maximum hp/torque on a tune, you'd have to hook it up to a dyno while tuning. Then experiment with different timing, boost, A/F, etc, no? Seems like that's how they do it with other cars at least.
Where do you recommend I go?
Agree 100%!Find someone who has been sucsessful to help you & then listen to that person & thats what it takes.Would anyone disagree
LOL ! Ziggy sometimes you even make me blush !try the master tuner himself, i heard he squeezed out 50 horses from just adjusting the IAC sensor....no that takes alot of brains im sure he'll chime in later in the post
First get a scan tool like a scanmaster or direct scan, make sure all the parameters are within specs, as in IAC,TPS, BLM's this is also tell you if you have a good or Lazy O2 sensor, check for leaks, zip tie everything, vacumm hoses that are cracked or brittle change with good ones and zip tie them, headers leaks a NO, NO for tunning get them repaired if any are present, once you done this, you are ready to start tunning, always tune for a third gear top end pull never second gear because this wont give you enough time for the scanmaster or direct scan to get a good read out at WOT, now depending on the chip you got it will determine how you tune, the best chip for the buck is Turbotweak, because it will allow you to change timing and fueling at WOT and its easy to work with, start slow, depending on the type of fuel or alky that you are using, take it from 15psi and work your way up watching the scamaster very carefully and make sure that your 02's dont drop below 780 at wot for a safe tune, look out for knock any knock period, and if any figure out where its coming from before you continue, there are plenty of us in here that will help you to tune if you just provide some beers or carne asada for the trip and time it takes, and Ziggy that was 82rwhp not 50 and it took more than an IAC adjustment to get it with plenty left in it. go ask Raph. as far as upgrades and trouble shooting, contact Lou czornota or Sod from hytech they will be more than happy to help you out in that department.

Zzzzzzzz...snort....huh...whu....what?....
Who said Chicken Wings?
That's sick!
As for tuning....
As have many here, I took mine to Turbo Lou.
I listened to every bit of his sound advice....and I laughed at his jokes too...
I've driven this GN like I stole it ever since it left his shop, and I've never had an issue since. I drive it daily and have my foot in it constantly
Sadly...he did such a good job...I have not had to go back and I really miss Papa Lou.
Lou will give you what you need in order to achieve your goals....not what you don't need. In the end it will save you $$$, time and head aches.
He'll also tell you exactly what you need to hear but it's all good advice.
Praise Papa Lou.
Lots of guys also use our other local TB.com member vender, Sod at Hye-tech, and seem quite happy too.
Make a choice and stick with that choice.....and listen....
Pollo Loco, you sure are the master at praising Papa Lou, after that write up there is pretty much nothing left to say.. Lou is good, but I think know days he spend his time fine tunning most of his sheeps..

If I wanted too I could make you go back to your old ways but I choose to try & get along with everyone. The B.S that was slung back & forth had to cost me some business & damage to my reputation. I always had more to lose therefore a no win situation. Besides Ziggy does a pretty good job of tormenting you with his sharp tongue. It may very well be that we all need a life. You mean you dont want me to go back to my old ways papa Lou or you do? , if i Did, it may spice things up a bit by providing some entertainment that you crave, its been quite silent lately if you know what i mean, i can almost hear thumble weeds rolling down in the far distance..
