Helping out a friend on his fresh 87 GN motor. The problem is he is running a 70 series turbo with a 3.5" MAF using translator plus version 6.2 with an extender extreme chip cut for 72's. The problem is the MAF grams at idle show 55-60 g/s! All the switches are set to on, all the dials are on 0, and the chip is cut for version 6.0. Thinking its a MAF we tried it on my 87 GN which has the translator plus version 6.22 and an extender for 50's. It works fine on my car.. go figure? We tried a stock EPROM cut for 72's and stock MAF and his car idles 5-6 grams per/sec GREAT! Plug the extreme chip back in, hooked up the T+ with the 3.5" MAF and 55-60.. F**K! Has anyone ever experienced this scenerio before? We are using a tech 2 (high dollar GM scantool that the dealership uses) and maybe it is conflicting with the ALDL signal?
