Why can't the US have the idea to do this?

Now this is engineering………………….

German Parking Lot

This is pretty amazing!

Can you imagine how all this operates?

How do they lock each car in its cubicle for safety?

WHO CARES

NO ONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND COULD GET IN THERE.

Talk about German efficiency! This photo was taken at

a new parking garage in Munich. The actual space that the facility

occupies is approximately only 20% of a comparable facility with the

traditional design that is used primarily in the US.

Not only is the German structure less expensive to build,

But vehicles are also "retrieved" in less time

and without the potential

of being damaged by an attendant
.

Someone needs to photochop that up and repalce those cars with GN's TTA's and Turbo T's.

That would great in downtown congested areas for sure.

I saw those photos a little while back.
Neat design. It's either an engineer's nightmare or dream.
I can imagine the control circuitry used in that.
One hell of a hydraulic system for the lift.

Glad they don't have to worry about hurricanes!

Thats cool but would be impossible for a parking garage. Sure it saves a lot of room but I bet it takes awhile to raise the car. Cool none the less.

Toyota had something similar at their Autoweb showroom in Tokyo. You would pick a car on a computer screen and the lift would bring you the car to a turntable in front of you so you could see the car in person.

The whole process took less than 30 seconds.
