Hey can anyone tell me the part number of these mini starters so i can go to autozone or napa or someplace and just buy one. The one i have i got from a board member and doesn't have any numbers on it. I know i can get one from kirbans but it will take a few days for all this. Thanks Gene.

I have a cheap generic sbc mini starter on mine at the moment, but when it goes out I'll be getting an LT4 starter off a '96 Vette w/ a 6spd.
I searched and it looks like the LT4 is smaller and lighter than the LT1.

I think this should link to the thread I found.

I believe the part numbers on the parts in the photos are for the LT4.

This is exactly what I have. The one thing I did notice since the swap and remember I did have the original direct drive {heavy} one is, with the reduction drive, the engine spins slower and takes a sec longer to actually start. Anyone else notice that?
