I can't say about the model cable your talking about but if you do a search this has been brought up before. I think some of it has to do with brand of cable and brand of computer. I ended up going to CDW after Craig posted a long time ago to get one I knew worked. It was about $60 but I did see where some others got cheaper ones that worked.
I did NOT have luck with the IOGEAR one available from Best Buy and other popular resellers. My issues were driver related (couldn't get laptop to recognize adapter under Windows 2000).
Any good name brand one should work. Expect to pay from $20 - $60 depending on what you can find. Mine was $39.
