Reset IAC when changing chips?

Is it necessary to reset iac when switching to another chip?

If the idle is raised, it would be a good idea although you could probably get away with not doing it.

when resetting the iac, do you really have to disconnect the IAC connnector and adjust the IAC counts? Can't you just set it by playing with the throttle screw?

You need to set it as per the instructions on gnttype.org except I would bump the idle up some if youre using a chip that has a raised idle.
