Pulling the motor out of your GN.

Just woundering what everyone else bolts up to there long block before they drop it back in?? Im always looking for shortcuts ..

Can anyone skinny there downpipe , when putting there motor back in the car??

Just about everything! I left the trans behind, but others like to pull the trans out at the same time. At least that saves the hassle of the bell housing bolts.

I left the a/c behind, of course. And did not pull the downpipe out with the engine either. But the headers and the cross pipe, yes. Alternator, fuel rail, coil all came out w/ the engine.

Did you put it back in with everything on also? Im getting ready to put my motor back in, and would like to put everyting I can on it while its still on the stand.

Yep. The little v-6 was complete right down to the turbo. Alternator, headers, cross pipe, water pump, etc. were all connected before I dropped it back in.
