Old school paint quick fix?

Lets say you have about 3/4 acrylic enamel left. Can I shoot this color sand it then shoot it with clear poly. I'm shooting an old truck and I don't feel like spending $200 on some base when I already have this. Thanks

I think the poly will bite into the enamel. Not in a good way. Try R & E Paint Supply in Arkansas. They have good prices on everything.

if the acrylic enamel is activated it should be fine. if its enamel thats ready to spay with no activator or hardener then toss it in garbage
you can always do a small test panel on a pop can to see if it reacts

Thanks guys, I think I'm going to go ahead and shoot some on an old hood I have here give it a couple weeks, sand it shoot it see what happens.
