I have a set of the 29-30 lb injectors. Can these be used with the stock chip?

Yes. They are slightly better than stock.

Thanks for the info, so nothing to worry about as far as over fueling / washing the cylinders. Forgot to mention it is for an 86 t-type engine. All stock for now, for a hybrid project.

If they are used, Send the injectors to Chuck at Cody Motorsports and get them cleaned and flowed. He will tell you if they are 30's or 42's.......and you will be sure that they are working perfect. you never know about used stuff.

Yup what turbodave said. I also have other options for flow tests and functionality depending on location.

Thanks, this is the p/n on them 5207009. From what I have been able to research is these are the smaller 009's 20/30lbs.

There are 2 types of 009's, 30's and 42's.
5207009 = 30-32lb/hr
5208009 = 42lb/hr

Most of the time, when people say "009's", they mean the 42lb version, but you have to see the whole part#.

You won't believe how many wrong chips I've made because people thought they had 42's, when they really had 30's.

As far as the 30's being an upgrade over stock, the stock injectors were 28lb/hr, but thats at the lower fuel pressure of the stock regulator (about 37psi). If you turn the fuel pressure up to 43-45psi like most do, the stock injectors flow 30-31lb/hr.

Here are the two different green stripe:
Lucas (2-hole, Green band) 5207009 30.0 lbs/hr
Lucas (3-hole, Green band) 5208009 42.5 lbs/hr

That's very true!! We (John and I) recently cleaned/flowed my old stock injectors. I think I remember he had the pressure on the machine set either 42 or 43, and they all flowed nicely at ~ 30.5 average.
They actually flowed better than the so called 30# redtops we did the same day. The redtops all flowed around 29. Go figure.

There are two injectors with the last (3) numbers 009. One is a 30lb and the other is a 42.5. If you look at the business end that goes in the intake you will see the difference the shooter area (where the fuel sprays out) is lot larger on the 42.5 injector. See ya! John

Don't think we should just call them 009's anymore I bought a set that we're said to be 009 42's and were 30's off the board then bought a set of actual 009 42lb injectors that were bad . Should have just bought them new from a vendor and been done with it .

Not to get too far off topic but these were sold to me as 009 but don't match either number turbo dave posted. Got a good price but not sure what I bought.
