Need help on wiring up a new setup

I am planning on using a 85 watt by 4 channel amp to 5.25" coaxial fronts, with 6x9s in the rear off of stereo headdeck power, and to run the other 2 channels to a single 10 inch sub.

What guage wire should I use? How should I run the wire? I have never installed a stereo before, is this a considerable undertaking?

Also, anyone tried fitting jl audio 6x9s with adapter plates?
