I recently picked up a turbo ta and it has this turbo on it. Somebody said that it looks like an old "34" precision turbo from the mid 90s sometime?? It's tight and seals are good, so I had a hard time believing it was that old, but anything is possible. The exhaust outlet is 2.258 diameter if that helps. Thanks.

Ok, will do. Need to pop the cover off anyway to clean it up and re-polish it anyway, so I'll measure then. What's the turbo capable of hp wise and et/mph? What kind of boost levels? I was hoping to shoot for low-mid 20s on alky. Thanks!

Sub'd. That looks very similar to the turbo on my GN. I was getting ready to post a similar question cause I'm trying to figure out what charger is on mine as well.

If it is a te34 which it seems to be it supports around 525+hp, a little less then a ta49.. the comp wheel is smaller but they have the same exhaust wheel I believe.. and its not a precision unit.

Thanks, I appreciate the reply. I never would have imagined it was smaller than a ta 49 due to the different front cover, just makes it appear larger I guess (without seeing them back to back)

Only 1mm smaller on the comp wheel, would be hard to eye the difference in size without measuring with a caliper.

Gotcha. Thanks for the info. I'll be pulling the cover off tomorrow to clean it up and re polish it. I'll measure the comp wheel then just to be certain. Thanks again.
