Hey everyone,

Instead of doing a cruise this month, we've decided to do a dyno day at Racers Edge Tuning on Saturday, February 21st. The plan is to be at the shop from 9a.m. to 5p.m. on the dyno, and then we will caravan over to our normal meeting spot at Nick's Burger in Fullerton for the meet between 6:00p.m. and 6:30p.m. The address for RET is:

Racers Edge Tuning
11434 Downey Ave Downey Ca 90241
562-445-7001

and the address for Nick's Burger is:

Nick's Burger
1712 W. Orangethorpe Ave
Fullerton, CA 92833

For the dyno day the shop can handle a maximum of 45 cars. The cost for the dyno is 3 pulls for $45. For all those planning on running their cars I am requiring everyone to register here. In order to register you must be a registered user on the site. Registration is extremely easy and should take you less than 45 seconds. If anybody has a problem signing up or registering please shoot me an email at SeanPlunk@gmail.com. For all those that sign up, please bring cash on the dyno day. Exact change is preferred as it allows the guys at RET to cycle through the cars faster and reduces down time.

I am really looking for a wide variety of different makes and models to keep things interesting, so please don't hesitate to sign up regardless of what you drive. Sorry to our AWD friends, but this dyno is only for FWD and RWD vehicles (if you want to stop by the shop and hang out though, we'd love to have you along). For all the participants we will be taping every car run. We will not only be taping the car itself, but we'll have a second camera on the computer monitor as it spits out the results. We'll cut the two sets of videos together after the meet and all the videos will be posted in our videos section afterwards.

At the shop we will provide some sodas and water. As far as lunch is concerned we haven't decided what we want to do yet, but I'm including a poll on the main thread here so please vote if you're coming and we'll make a decision in the next week or two.

We've had a lot of fun at the meets with a really wide variety of cars and all makes and models. We're looking for the same diversity for this, so I hope to see you all out there. Here and here are pictures from the last meet and here and here are videos from our last cruise. Whether you want to dyno or you just want to hang out with a bunch of cars guys, I hope to see you on Feb. 21st :)

Change of heart huh? It must be lackluster participation at events...

I'm not sure what you mean, but actually the cruises and meets have been quite fun. I think we had about 20 cars on this latest cruise and maybe 60 total at the meet. We just wanted to try something different for this one which is why we're doing the dyno day.

Got it. So it's ok for me to attend "dyno queen day" but not the previous races? It's cool. I know it's a "club" thing.
I already know my 300hp monster dyno number anyway:biggrin:

I'm sorry, I'm not sure I know what you're talking about. We haven't had any race stuff at all. We just do local cruises and a meet once a month. I've posted it up on this board every month. You're always welcome if you want to come. We're not a club at all, just a board of mostly local guys.

My bad. I was thinking of "stroker396" events:wink:

Oh, okay. For a second I was really confused

Truthfully, I think I remember seeing your truck run way back in the day (like 2001ish) at Carlsbad. If you ever want to come to the meets or anything it'd be nice to meet you.

Thanks bro. Sorry for the confusion. Nothing personal!:)

I can vouch for the Motorgen events....I've been to 2....always good participation and all makes models, etc are welcome. It's an equal opportunity motorhead event.

Everyone is friendly and cool to talk to and there are no food fights.:D
