Motor mounts....help!

Are they the same as a regular Regal with the 3.8? The guy that rebuilt my tranny says they should be replaced, the are allowing the motor to move to much. Is he full of it or should I do it? The motor does move quite a bit but nothing is broken in the mount area, they do just flex alot. How much is to much??

Any help would be appreciated!

Replace them NOW!!! there only $9.99 @ Advance Auto parts same quality as GM. besides motor flex can damage your hood (leaving dents where the motor has hit), transmission damage, and destroy your exhaust system. But don't go OEM mounts if your no longer stock go with polyurethane mounts.

The H&R mounts ride so smooth, I put them in one winter, drove the car for a few weeks in the spring months later, and forgot I had put them in. I didn't notice a difference in ride quality, felt just like stock - no vibrations. Your motor won't budge with the H&R mounts. Fantastic product.

I also welded the nuts on mine that way on only had to deal with bolt. Much easier to deal with
