low boost ?

car will only build 1-2 #s boost on foot brake & very slow to spool on a roll I know there is not a leak between header & turbo since I just replaced with a composite gasket. This is a Ta49 with a 2800 stall. adjustable rod turned all the way in I get only 10#s of boost open bleeder & it will not go above 16#s

I'd guess the puck ain't closing properly over the ported hole in the turbo.

It could be alot of things. Cracked headers come to mind. Vacuum leaks as well. also, if you are running a race chip it is usually so rich down low that it affects spool-up. Did that to my car anyways.

vacuum is @ 15hg at idle does this seem low?
I had crossover pipe off recently & I don't know if that should be an issue.
acuator opens @8 psi

My buddy (Pat Adkins) has made several changes to the car but nothing that would affect building boost at the line...it builds boost alright from a roll....if I stomp on it from a dead dig it takes nearly forever for the boost to kick in is what i'm feeling....
