I use a couple soup cans and a piece of string. One goes on the valve cover and the other on my ear. I can hear the knock then If you need a scanmaster I have one here $240 shipped anywhere in lower 48

I usually run around 28lbs of boost with 93 oct and 2 bottles of 104 oct booster.. I don't have a knock guage but I do have a Stethoscope attached to my motor that I listen to under boost.

Thats awesome... so the 93 octane in the tank goes from 93 to 94 :redface:

These cars can run 28 lbs of boost on 94 octane all day long

the only octane booster that actually really changes the rating by actual points (not tenths of a point,like 104+) is Kemco but I don't think its safe for O2 sensors and the EPA is giving the mfg. a hard time about mixing it now.

actually the equation would look like this.

93+(104x2)=301 octane

So in theory if you can run 17lbs of boost on super unleaded you should be able to run 55lbs on super unleaded and those two bottles. I wonder if you added alky to that combo if you could reach 100lbs. Anyone got a 10 bar MAP sensor, and a 200mm turbo, lets try.:biggrin:
